Nightwatch is a tool that provides real-time detection and alertness of objects or scenes that depict objects of interest within an image, such as weapons and indications of violence.

This assists law enforcement with analysing large volume of images from multiple sources within an investigation and to quickly identify critical images that require further attention, which can help accelerate response and resolution times.  

This capability has been applied to an operation for testing and is currently in pilot.

Nightwatch leverages and adapts the open-sourced OpenAI CLIP (Contrastive Language-Image Pretraining) model.

Project Metior Telum will be used to advance Nightwatch.
